Things to do

Did you know that some of the most beautiful places in Capitol Reef National Park rarely get visited? Some of them are out of the way, and others are little-known. We want our guests to have the best experience possible, so we're created a guide to some of the hidden gems of Capitol Reef.

Capitol Reef National Park

Capitol Reef National Park is open all day every day and there are some great hikes to enjoy such as the Hickman Bridge, Capitol Gorge and more.

Cathedral Valley in Capitol Reef, UT

The 57.6-mile loop through the remote Cathedral district, usually accessible to most cars with high clearance, will take you on a breathtaking tour of the San Rafael Swell and distant mountains, as well as give you close-up looks of giant castle-like sandstone formations.
